Weighing just 35 lbs (16 kg), the SCHULZHEAD HD is one of the lightest units of its kind on the market. Its original "nodal head" design makes it possible to achieve pan and tilt ranges of 360 degrees in both axes, and it is designed to carry most 35 mm and 16 mm cameras of up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
It comes complete with the SCHULZ SMARTPLATE, which comprises a quick-release function for the commonly used 120 x 80 mm snap-plate. One main, telescopic pan arm and one additional non-telescopic pan arm are included.
The SCHULZHEAD HD has been specifically designed to be mounted on the SCHULZ HEAVY DUTY carbonfibre tripod, but its ball-base also fits any other tripods or dollies with a 150 mm bowl, or on a Mitchell plate in upright or upside-down position.
The SCHULZHEAD HD is primarily intended to be used as one working unit, consisting of two components. Optionally, the tilt component can be removed from the pan base and be used as an additional (third) axis for other heads.
